AVIA 3400 Aviation Regulations 2

Aims

  • To develop an understanding of the structure of the Australian legal system.
  • To develop an understanding of the influence and interrelationship of our legal system and the aviation industry.
Philosophy

This is the second subject in a course aimed to provide students with an introduction to the Australian legal structure and in particular how civil aviation is regulated with this legal framework. Law & Regulations 1 provided an overview of Australia’s legal and regulatory structure as it impinges upon aviation and also examined some major branches of the law (eg contract and torts). Law & Regulations 2 focuses more on the specific applications of the law to specialised aspects of both the domestic and international aviation industry.
