Information session will be held for prospective Flying and Management students at the main campus and Bankstown airport.
Open Day at Main Campus (7th of September 2019)
The School of Aviation will be presented at the 2019 Open Day for prospective Bachelor of Aviation Flying and Management applicants at the University of New South Wales main campus on Saturday 7th September.
Open Day activities:
- Aviation Talk (Soar into Aviation) by Professor Gabriel Lodewijks at 10.10am at Keith Burrows Theatre [K14] and 1.30pm at Chemical Sciences M18 [F10].
- Flight Simulator - Aviation has a purpose-built general aviation flight simulator located in room 225, Old Main Building, [K15]. The simulator comprises a replica training aircraft flight deck, complete with instrument panels and navigation equipment. Come and experience it for yourself (Remember to sign up at our tent on the day, limited numbers only)
- Marquee - Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly? At the marque, Qantas pilots are awaiting your questions, ready to talk about life in the air and what it takes to be a pilot for one of Australia’s leading airlines. You’ll also get the chance to hang out with some of our Aviation Society club members and student representatives to have your questions answered.
Open Day at Bankstown (21st of September 2019)
Additionally an open day will be held at our Bankstown Flying Operations Unit on Saturday 21st September at 1000-1200. This information session will talk about the Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) program. A presentation will be given with a question and answer session on its conclusion. Guests will have an opportunity to meet our flight instructors and some of our current flying students. Our aircraft and simulator will be available for inspection as well.
