How do Drivers Avoid Crashes and Novices Develop Key Skills?

This project aims to assess the role of headway in crashes in Australia. Short headway or close following in moving traffic is often held responsible for rear end crashes, which account for nearly one-quarter of all crashes (23.5%) in Australia. There are rear end crashes at speed as low as 40 Km/h that resulted to fatalities.
